I created a personal challenge for myself in 2009. I would make one fabric postcard per week, 4×6 inch standard format. The back of each card I would write a short message regarding the week or the technique I had used. Each card is signed, wish you were here, Stephanie. This would be an opportunity for me to try new techniques on a small scale. I attempted to chronicle some event for the week in each postcard.
The year started off pretty good. For a couple on months I stuck to my goal. However, as the seasons turned, so did the pursuit of my goal. By the end of the year I had 26 postcards completed–only half of the 52 weeks. I did learn some new techniques. Some I will use again, others will be pushed to the wayside.
