2010 Quilt Challenge #3 Rhythm

The third challenge word to interpret is rhythm. For some reason I really drew a blank on this one. I could think of things like drums and dancing or all the songs that have the word rhythm in the lyrics. But nothing inspired me to create something.  Then I started to look at it from another angle. I remembered when I was in high school, I would go to the arcade at the mall, with my friends.

We didn’t play games at the arcade, but they have a machine that would map your bio-rhythms. For an explanation on what bio-rhythms are click on this link.  I decided to make a quilt that would show my bio-rhythm chart for June 21, 2010. The first day of summer.  In the background of the bio-rhythm curves I quilted some zentangle patterns I used black material on the front, then colored it with neocolor artist crayons and colored pencils. The back of the quilt is white thus the zentangle patterns are clearly shown. This finished quilt size is 15.5 x 11.5 inches.
