When I purchased my sewing machine, I also bought an extension table for it. When I take my sewing machine with me, out of the studio, I really miss that extension table.
Here is an idea how you can make your own extension table to fit your sewing machine.

I used to always just slap a border on my quilts. Sometimes this would work out and sometimes it would be wavy. It wasn’t until I learned the concept of measuring your quilt and cutting the border to match, that my quilts are square and lay flat.

Have you ever tried to miter the borders of your quilt? Not the binding–I have pretty much mastered that–but the borders. I have tried it without great success. Here is a video that I thought explained how to do it well.
