I am a longarm quilter living in Fargo, ND. I have a business degree with a special concentration in art. I have always been interested in drawing or painting and learning new art techniques. I am an avid reader and enjoy the outdoors. Many of my quilt ideas come from walking in the woods near our lake cabin.
The first quilt I made was in my 7th grade Home Economics class. I didn’t want to make the usual jumper that everyone else was sewing, so I made a landscape quilt. For many years it hung on the wall in my parents’ bedroom.
The interests of a young adult took me away from quilting for a number of years. When I got married, I inherited my mother’s old sewing machine and once again began quilting. My first pieced quilts were quite simple, and were tied instead of sewing a quilting design. Since those early quilting days, I have graduated to more complex piecing and designing patterns to quilt on my longarm quilting machine.
